Dear Wonderful Families,

I hope that you are all having a wonderful last days of summer and that you are ready and looking forward to a fabulous school year.  I have had a couple trips out of town, which always seems to make the summer feel like a true vacation.  I have also spent time taking a course all about teaching online.  Wow!  A new world was opened up to me.  I look forward to sharing more about this at our first parent meeting.

I am gearing up for the coming school year, and am excited as always to be working with all of you.  The middle school years are still my favorite years to teach and be with the students.  There are many developmental changes between grades 6 and 8, and in our multi-age classroom, I take pride in the social emotional and academic growth that we share together.

We will be meeting on the same days and the same times as we did last year, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 1:15 pm.  And similar to last year, Tuesday will be the primarily academic day, with content in the Sciences, World History and Geography, and Writing, Thursday will have a stronger social emotional focus with group activities, socratic discussions,  and arts.  Our field trips will be on either Thursdays or Fridays.

Our daily schedule is still a work in process, but I hope to be able to share more specifics along with other special events at our our first Parent Meeting on the 28th.

Look forward to receiving an All Homeschool Newsletter regarding all the class offerings very soon after the start of the school year.

AND...I trust that you have your enrollment paperwork completed and turned in.  : )
